Such a great costume! I am 5’7″ 170 lbs and 36DDD and I ordered a Large. The only reason that I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the size of the “shells”. I mean, I think the shells should be larger for a large costume.. I will still wear the costume because it’s super cute, but I just wish the shells were more proportionate.

I got this in the mail two days after I ordered it! I am 5’0 and I wear a size 9/10, I got a medium and it fit perfectly!!! When I take my pictures on the beach for my birthday this month, I will try to remember to add one on here. Oh, also, I didn’t pay attention to the fact that it would come with a head accessory, I love surprises!!!! I will definitely be ordering my Halloween costume from this company this year. Thanks a bunch, you helped to add to my Pisces birthday theme.

After losing 140# in the last year, I knew I wanted a stunning costume…and this was it! It definitely turned heads and a few friends didn’t even recognize me with the wig!Sizes are always so hard to determine so here’s my data: 5’9″, 170#, 34H. I got a large and it was perfect.The dress was long enough to dust the floor (wearing flats) but still looked okay with heels. The material was stretchy and consequently easy to move around in, though I had to slow down a bit on steps. I did have to wear a strapless bra but that wasn’t a big deal. It was body hugging but not tight or slutty. I got lots of compliments, and was told the wig really made the costume. (Edited to add wig information: )I can definitely see keeping this as a go-to costume.

This costume is such nice quality, although I didn’t use the head piece it came with.. I felt it looked cheesy. So I curled my hair, bought a hairnet to put over my face, so I could put makeup on top of it for the scaled mermaid-skin effect (watch a YouTube tutorial!) & ordered a necklace made of real shells on amazon. I ordered a SIZE SMALL & it fit perfect, although it did come off the floor above my feet a few inches due to my height, it still looked great. I am 5’6”, 140lbs, bra size: 34B for reference. The bottom part is stretchy so you have some give if your hips are bigger. This costume is perfect.. I actually kept it so I can re-wear for future Halloween parties! 💕

This costume is attractive and actually comfortable to wear. I didn’t have a problem with the top. I wore a strapless pink bra under it (small B cup). With my long mermaid wig covering most of the back, I even felt comfortable wearing it to work in an office. It fit like a glove, and no one could believe I just ordered a generic size off the internet. It could easily be sold for way more than I paid.

FIRST OFF 5 STARS FOR THE COSTUME ITSELF!!! NOW for the 3 STARS: I ordered this in both sizes Medium and Small. The costume itself is gorgeous, however, the small one I received was packaged completely different from the medium. It was missing a hanger and the head piece was just thrown in with the costume not put in a separate bag. The head piece was also missing a sequin which was not in with the costume. This was obviously a roughly returned item. Luckily the Medium was slightly a better fit so everything I received in the medium was in perfect condition. Tip, when zipping the back, pull the tulle fabric with your fingers away from the zipper. Mine caught and made a slight tear, but not too visible. The tulle material around the waist is very delicate.

This is absolutely the best costume I’ve purchased to date. It’s so so flattering on women with curves. It’s a great fit. I got so many compliments on this while wearing it and I always recommend it to anyone looking for a mermaid costume. The only issue I could see with this is if you have a very large bust, other than that it’s wonderful. I have a smaller c cup and I felt protected.

Ordered this for my adult daughter to wear to work when her office staff planned to dress as mermaids for Halloween this year. Upon reading the other reviews, we ordered a larger size and I’m glad we did. We liked the attached pink top which seemed more appropriate for the office, but she ended up cutting it off to make her own top out of shells and netting. It was easy to cut off and no one noticed the difference. See photos. . . She’s the one with blue hair.
