Absolute perfect color for my Amethyst (from Steven Universe) cosplay, easy application, pretty decent last (considering i live in a part of TX where it’s always humid and it smells so nice i could almost eat it.

Before using Mehron Paradise Paints I was only familiar with oil-based stage makeups instead of water-based. I like these much more. I used this along with another green for my Elphaba makeup. It’s important that you have the proper sponge (a friend recommended a round Kryolan sponge that has worked better than any brush, sponge, or other applicator for this product for me). It’s also important that you powder (you can use baby powder or translucent powder, etc) in between certain steps. Finally, it’s ESSENTIAL you use a type of sealer, to prevent cracking, rubbing off, etc – the best I’ve found is Ben Nye “Final Seal”. This will help with the nose creases, undereyes, areas that makeup often rubs off in. The powder and the sealer are really needed for this product to work at its top performance! It felt lighter than oil-based makeups, did not rub off or transfer, yet still came off relatively easy. (It needs a bit of scrubbing for the hairline area or areas where you have dry skin). Very happy with my purchase and I’ll be using this in the future for all special effects. I have sensitive skin and it was fine — my friend who I used it on is often allergic to certain makeups but she was just fine too. It has a very light coconut scent. Wonderful product!

I bought this for an Ursula costume and it worked great. I used it over a grey base to get the shade that I wanted. It is really easy to apply and I set it with powder and then a setting spray. I knew with being in the heat it wouldn’t last as long as something waterproof or latex. We walked for a few hours in the sun and heat and it held up much better than I expected. It is water based so if you sweat or have rubbing on the area where you have the make up you’ll lose some coverage. After a few hours I lost some of the makeup on my neck and where I had my necklace laying but nowhere near as much as I expected. Best part about being water based is it was so easy to take off, which is really great if you’re using it for a large part of your body. I highly recommend it.

I bought this for my daughter’s Ursula costume for Halloween and it worked perfectly. It was easy to apply, covered wonderfully and she had no complaints on how it felt. I applied with a wide foundation brush and used a cup of water to dip my brush in as necessary to add to the body paint. I used storm cloud (G08E7) underneath purple (G20E1) to deepen it as the purple alone was just too bright. I think a lighter gray may have been even better, but I was still very happy with the end result and my daughter LOVED it. She did get a some transfer on her costume but it wasn’t too bad…mostly under her arms, which I think you can see in the picture I posted. Probably could have avoided that by using a setting spray as some others did but, as she wasn’t going to be wearing it for too long, I didn’t bother. What I was most pleased about was how easily it came off in the shower given how well it stayed on throughout the night. I thought it was going to be effort, but it came right off with soap and water. I would absolutely recommend this product and use this brand again if I required face/body paint.

A little darker in person.I don’t suggest using skin prep underneath this makeup, it was flaking after only a few hours but wouldn’t wash off without scrubbing a lot.Overall, I was satisfied with this product. It was great for my Lapis Lazuli cosplay!

Worked impressive. I purchased this after buying and returning the cream based makeup I bought at party city (it sucked don’t waste you money) Anyway, I had trouble applying this at first but I found that spraying the makeup with my MAC studio fix primer made for easier application. I image you can use water instead of primer. I used this to create an Ursula look for my daughters Halloween costume. It’s the perfect shade of purple! She’s 2 and the paint lasted all day until she cried and the paint started coming off lol. Otherwise it’s toddler proof and I would definitely using this brand in the future.

Paint worked wonderfully. I’m an amateur & never even wear foundation lol, this stuff was easy enough to work with & looked very nice in pictures & in person, I got compliments all night… got this for Halloween (to be an Alien Hippie), one compact was enough to cover a nice majority of my body and have plenty left. I’m sure I could do the look at least once more, maybe even another 2 times with what remains…. I used cheap makeup sponges on my face but it would’ve taken way too long to do my body… 2 of my daughters used paint brushes to help do my arms & back. Application with cheap paint brushes was a little streaky, but once dry it looked great. I have a full sleeve on my right arm, and while I didn’t intend to “cover” my tattoos, the paint did just that. Any splotchiness on that arm was really just a little of my tattoos coming out. I rushed through 2 coats of body paint, I’m sure if we would’ve taken the time to do a light 3rd layer the tattoos would be covered perfectly. I also used the mehron barrier spray in between coats and after the final coat. Let dry completely between applications!! I also did an extra coat (3rd spray total) at the end. That stuff is impressive!!! Even the paint on my hands held up through 5 hours of party & looked great. I held cold drinks with condensation, an icy water bottle, picked up babies (rubbing all over my tummy/arms/chest), hugged people… I even cut a lemon at one point with no transfer!! By the end of the night my finger tips were lighter than the rest of my hands but that’s it (you can see in my selfie, that was at the end of the night right before the shower). Very minimal transfer to the inside of my clothing & it came out in one wash. When I showered & just stood under the hot water for a couple minutes, the paint got lighter but didn’t disappear. I was impressed lol … took a soft loofa sponge & dr bronners soap, paint came right off. No staining of my skin, no break outs, no dryness. LOVE the mehron product line & would definitely order again & again!!! (I originally ordered amazon green but when it arrived it was definitely a darker witch-y green, so I returned & bought the Light Green, seen here in photos. Glad I made the switch.)
