My husband has been wanting renfaire boots so instead of paying thousands at the faire he decided to order some online. Fearless Apparel was one of the only companies that held his size (14) and carried nice reviews.He loved them straight out of the box! They are a bit customizable with how tight you want the straps, they have a nice tread for stomping through muddy paths, the leather feels nice and looks nice.Bonus to the company: With the current state of shutdowns due to Coronavirus, I thought for sure these would take a while, NY to DFW.They arrived way eariler then estimated, they were packaged nicely and I signed for them.To top it off I recieved an email, thanking me for being a customer.We both for sure will direct anyone interested to Fearless Apparel in the future.

I bought these boots as part of a Steampunk outfit. I was expecting some cheap, plastic-like boots, but was very pleasantly surprised when I go them ! They arent leather, but they arent plastic junk either. They fit great and actually seem comfortable. I wasnt sure about size, but they fit me perfectly.

So I waited to review until after my Ren Faire event so here we go:YOGA PANTS.Sounds weird, I know (especially for us guys) but wearing yoga pants/tight leggings under my breeches worked impressive with these boots instead of tall socks. Socks tend to roll down, so I wore short socks and yoga pants and I had legit no rubbing on my calves at all and it helped with the sweat.PROS: I got plenty of compliments and they held up well after LOTS of walking for 5hrs straight in 97F weather, both on grass/ dirt/ wood chips.They held up nice considering the material is a bit thin, and we’re comfy all day.CONS:make sure you’re ready to buy inserts. The boots come with zero inserts at all, which was fine for me since I like my custom Dr.Scholls for a bum knee.Be aware of how thick the inserts are will effect how tight the boot is. So if you plan on thick inserts, go a size up.I did have some rubbing to the top of my right foot from a strap, but they’re new so maybe just need some adjusting and breaking them in.They’re a bit too tall for me. In terms of the actual boots shin height, anyway. The tops dug into the back of my knees if I sat down, but again, they’re new so I’m hoping that area of the boot will soften up with time.Only other con is that the material is thin, costume-grade material so don’t expect something that’ll last a bunch of hiking escapades.
