I finally found a pancake makeup to replace Max Factor’s Natural No. 1, which I used since I was a teenager (and that was a very long time ago). When it stopped being made/sold, I looked online for similar products. I tried several other brands and no matter what color I tried, it did not look natural. I looked either dead white or sickly yellow or bright pink. I wasted a lot of money before I finally discovered this brand and this particular color. It actually works better than the old Max Factor pancake in that it has more covering power and it doesn’t “melt” in the heat and humidity we have down here in the deep South. I use it every day for work and any time I’m going out in public. I have people tell me they can’t get over my complexion, and I can’t take credit for it–I tell them that I use a really, really nice makeup. Some have asked the name of it, which of course I give. I think a few have gone on to try it for themselves. All I know is, I won’t leave home without it (I have a lot of acne scars, etc.) and I’m so thankful I found it! It’s the perfect makeup for concealing facial imperfections, without looking heavy or made-up, and it doesn’t need to be touched up or renewed even in the hottest summer months. And it’s a believable, natural looking color, which is essential.

This stuff works impressive! I needed it to be Gamora as part of our Ragnar relay trail running team Ragnardians of the Galaxy. I wanted to be able to run the whole 48 hours in full costume so I needed something easy to apply that STAYS ON and still looks nice after many hours, that is also breathable enough to not make my face crusty 😂 this little compact was beyond perfect!!!! I applied it with a magic eraser (which is all I had, would use a beauty blender sponge next time) and a little water. Obviously I wasn’t going for a professional look and only took 15 minutes to get ready, but I am sure if you were more careful with applying it you’d get professional looking results. It went on smoothly, it’s easy to blend and you can layer multiple times to get the coverage you want. It held up over 48 hours as I ran 16 miles, got rained on, slept in a sleeping bag, and sweated a LOT. Once it dried, it didn’t rub off on my clothes or random things I touched. I put it on my entire face, neck, upper body, belly, arms, and lower legs, and did a few touch ups throughout the weekend, and the compact is still full so I know I could be Gamora many more times before this runs out lol. The cleanup was simple, just soap and water and I got everything back off in one shower. I highly recommend this brand to anyone who needs long-lasting, comfortable body paint at a nice price. I should add that I hardly EVER bother to leave a review on Amazon, so the fact that I’m leaving this hopefully shows you how impressed I am!!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Amazon’s images of this foundation show the colors most accurately, even moreso than on the Mahron site. Since there are nearly no reviews anywhere of this makeup’s super-light pinky shades, I had to really stare at the various colors on my screen, narrowing the choices down to 2 or 3 and then clicking back and forth among them to see the differences. I finally decided on the extra fair, but it was a little too light. I then ordered the pinky I had determined was the next darker shade, light beige blush. It has a very, very strong pink undertone. I looked like a carnation. But if I combine the two colors, the result is perfect. Using a thick foundation brush that I’ve squeezed the excess water out of, I swipe it back and forth a few times in one color and then the other and then paint my face. The coverage is fantastic, yet you can barely tell I’m wearing foundation. Despite what some reviewers say, this foundation is very easy to work with. Just don’t use a dripping wet brush or sponge. Also, after you’ve run your damp brush or sponge over the product, it might not look as if anything has rubbed off onto your applicator, but it has–just touch your tool to your face, and you will see the foundation going onto your skin perfectly.

This was very nice!! I just wish I had a purple to further compliment my costume.I used it as my white base for my Ursula costume this year.The application process I find is simple; get $1 sponges from the makeup aisle at Walmart, wet the sponge, wipe the palette, apply to skin. Then obviously apply to your desired coverage.I loved the feel of it. I wasn’t afraid to touch my skin as I would be if I used an oil based cream type makeup.This dries almost instantly and stays well!The photos are of two different nights out.The photo with the crown is a much more refined makeup job.

I came to find this product while researching pancake foundation, particularly Max Factor. This appears to be a nice alternative since that particular brand is no longer available in the US. The shade I chose is a perfect match for my skintone and has extremely nice coverage. The formula is buildable so you can have light or full coverage as needed. I apply this makeup with a damp wedge or cosmetic round sponge. I dampen the sponge with warm water, squeeze out the excess, and apply product to the sponge. Then, I apply the makeup all over my face and wait a few seconds for it to dry. I then go over any areas that may need extra coverage. This really does give a flawless finish. It is great for oily skin since it is a powdery base. In the heat, this doesn’t try to melt off of my face like liquid or cream foundation. I am sold on pancake foundation and this little compact will last a long, long time. I just may need to get a darker shade for summer when my skin gets a little darker out in the sun. I can’t wait to try more Mehron products.

I use Mehron eye and face powders to supplement what I can’t find in eyeshadows. Avon no longer makes so many things I used through them, particularly soft shades of blues, and I have to make my own so I use white and gray to soften up other colors, this moonlight color is actually lighter than portrayed in the description pic. Wish it were a little darker, but at least not as stark as white. I lighten other grays and blues that I have to make the very soft shade of pale blue that I wear on my eyelids, it is the best color for me, I am 69, and hardly anyone makes nice soft blue shadow anymore. So I have to create my own. It is the best for my eyes which I smoke up with gray and navy blues. Get compliments all the time all my life and at my age, I still do. The quality of this powder is nice, it’s fine textured enough.And you get plenty for the money. Will last me a long time

I absolutely LOVED this body paint! My husband & I went as the Guardians of the Galaxy for my niece’s super-hero themed 10th bday party, and this green paint worked PERFECT for Gamora. Totally made the look, got constant compliments all night! Took to my dark skin perfectly, went on quick & didn’t itch not ONCE all night. Pro tip – use this powder WET. This stuff works best when painted on wet. I used it with a spray bottle of water & makeup brush, constantly spraying the powder about every 3-5 strokes. Just be careful not to take off any bottom layers of paint when applying the second. Just FYI. Worked so nice! And was also fun to do, lol.This was an absolutely easy & great paint choice for Gamora. My niece kept running-up hugging & beaming at me saying “You look JUST like her!!”, Lol! Her joy made it totally worth it. Don’t hesitate, this paint is very nice. Buy it!

I bought this in green to make my 6 year old look like the Wicked Witch of the West. We used the makeup twice on her and once on me and I can’t recommend it enough. While this is a powder compact, it works best wet. After three applications, I learned the best thing to do is buy a cheap kitchen sponge, keep it damp, rinse it often, and apply this wet. When wet, you can layer and get a more opaque finish. It really stays in place; we used it on hands and wrists, face, and I made my whole neck, collarbone, and one shoulder green and it stayed even with hugging, eating candy, and my daughter running around and rubbing her face and doing as kids do. All this, and it washed off super easy and didn’t irritate either of our eyes! This picture is from the first time we used it; the second time we better mastered an even application. And we didn’t even make a dent in the compact, there’s plenty to use for future events!

My company had a huge virtual Halloween costume contest this year, that they announced the same week that I just happened to be in New York seeing Wicked after 19 months of holding on to my tickets. So I who I was gonna be, and I won the contest!!!! Which happened to be; you guessed it – an Amazon gift card. The makeup was impressive and went on so easy just by dampening a paint brush and working fast.DO NOT USE PAINT!!!This is sooo much better and dries instantly. Then you just add setting powder then you can begin to contour as you would normally. My virtual company contest was at 3:30 pm EST, but my husband and I attended a Halloween party later that evening from 7:30 pm – 11:00 pm. So I had this make-up on from about 2:30 pm to about midnight.I used it down to past my collar bone, up to my elbows and all around my ears and neck and the container looks practically new.

DON’T USE IT BY ITSELF! It’s almost useless wihout   under it. But when you put these two together (think regular makeup foundation then powder) they are a brutal force of epic proportions. I use it for my Sith Twilek and it is PERFECT to help tone down the darker yellow of the Paradise AQ. These paired together match up with Leg Avenues tights that I used for my arms and legs. For that buy two pairs and cut the crotch out of one and you got yourself a neck hole. There are tons of tutorials on how to sew them to make fingers (its super hard hence gloves). If you don’t sweat a lot the water based makeup + this powder will stay on all day (worn this for 12 hrs). I swear by it and prefer this and the tights method to the alcohol based makeup (I have rosacea and alcohol based will kill my skin)

I used this for my elpheba costume. I used a damp sponge to apply. You definitely need a few layers and it’s important to let each layer dry before adding more otherwise it will begin to come off. I sealed it with makeup setting spray and then dusted myself off with cornstarch. If you get sweaty or have an area of your body that gets rubbed then it will come off. I just packed the sponge and make up with me to reapply if needed. At the end of the night it was easy to wash off in the shower. The make up only rubbed a little off on my clothes but it was not all over furniture. Once it was on I almost forgot I was painted green until I saw a picture of myself. When I did my face I put on regular foundation first and then built from there. I saw a few you tube videos that suggested doing it that way. Will buy again and other colors if needed again.

Alright, black makeup is officially a pain to work with for an amateur makeup user.I have fair sensitive combo skin. I did not break out or clog up.Getting this stuff wet and putting it on like a creme eyeshadow or foundation is effective. Couple of applications for the flawless black are needed but great product. I used a gray eyeshadow to blend out the harsh lines once the product dried at it didnt flake off at any point.Coconut oil got it off super well and a few extra cetaphil washes got off any residue.

I work for a haunted house, do my own makeup and makeup for others. This makeup was impressive! Applied easily, using either brush or makeup sponge with a little water (too much will make it go on thin and cause streaking). The color was rich and the cleanup after was easy! Buch better than dealing with cream makeup. This will last me a while as after a whole season, the makeup hardly looked used at all! I would highly recommend this brand.

Great quality make up. Purchased the green not knowing how well it would work for my witches costume i was wearing to work. I used it on my face, neck, partial chest, hands, partial arms. For the face and neck I used a make up primer first. Went on well, looked great and lasted all day. I received so many compliments and several people asked me where I purchased it. This worked so great! I wore it from 7:30am until 10:30pm working all day and going through a haunted house and it stayed put apart from a bit on my hands which came of with soap and water when washing hands which is expected. When I went to shower it stayed on super great until I put soap on it then boom instantly gone! And I didn’t break out too much with it either! When applying put water on a makeup sponge each time you apply and you don’t have to use as much!

This was so perfect for my Oz the Great and Powerful Wicked Witch cosplay. I dipped my brush in water and applied wet. It went in great and even applied very well over the SynWax nose and chin I created. It dries quickly and has a nice powdery finish that takes contouring and blending well … though even sealing it I found I left a bit of green powder on everything I touched (am I missing an essential step to truly seal it??). It’s also easy to touch up or add more layers for a more opaque look which I find hard to do with water activated paints so, being the novice I am, I much prefer this powder to paint! Highly recommend for beginners!!
