Great costume. The look of the costume was perfect. Looked expensive and not overly cheesy. However there are some things that are not impressive….There is no pants with the costume and the boot covers smell like fake pleather. THE TOP HAT INCLUDED IS HORRIBLE!!!! It is not tall and does not stand up at all. I purchased a different top hat from amazon which was attractive with the costume.The vest and jacket can be separated, however the shirt is only a little bib.Overall i think this costume was worth the price and looks impressive on with other pieces i put with it.

Fit worked well, the vest was a little tight so I just cut the back a little (it was under the coat anyways) and the adjustable straps held it just fine. As other reviewers may suggest, just wear you own white shirt under the garment as the dicky/bowtie is not very nice quality.Everything else was extremely well made.

Pricey but worth it. Even the boot things were decent, compared to the cheap ones I’ve purchased in Party City type costumers (Pirate, cowboy, etc.)One other comment. I actually bought another hat because of reviews that said this one was flimsy, and found it wasn’t necessary to do so. The included hat matched much better. Other reviewers are correct that it can easily collapse, but if you simply cut out some thin cardboard to the height of the hat and tape it in a loop of the appropriate size, it will make it look very firm without affecting the comfort at all.My one complaint is the dicky that’s included. Everybody has a white shirt, and nobody wants to wear a bib. Bought this costume for my husband. I liked that it arrived in a quality garment bag.The costume was impressive. It looked better than described. the detail was elegant and it was well sewn. The few issues I found was the hat and the dickie. The hat was squished and had no shape. Because it was velvet, I could not get out the wrinkles..but was able to give it shape by adding cardboard to the inside of the hat. The dickie was too short so we used a real shirt and bow tie. I will buy more costumes from the company In Character.. Their costumes may cost a little more but soo worth it..You get a quality costume that won’t rip up on you the 1st time you put it on. Regarding the size, they are pretty true to size. we thought we needed to order a bigger size since it was a costume but it was little too big. We had to take it up a little. m our issue not the costume..My husband looked great and even won a costume contest.

I was planning to work with this outfit but the fabric isn’t nice, there are strings coming out which seems likely to go loose after a few uses.there is no white shirt! – instead there is this lame thing that you put under vest and it comes loose when you move so its only nice for a picturealso fedex charged me another 60 dollars for no apparent reasoni payed 90 for the suit, 30 for delivery and i had to pay another 60 dollars when i received the suit for a made up feethe suit does look nice in pictures and i plan to buy a real white shirt and red tie to use with itonly the vest and jacket are descent and i don’t know how long they will last until the string go loosethink about it if its worth paying for the whole suit to get just those 2 items because the rest is low quality garbage

Costume was very nice, but I should have listened to others regarding the size because the XL was too big. My husband is 5’11 and about 220. He has big, broad shoulders so I was worried about it being too tight in that area – it wasn’t. Some people mentioned the chained being cheap – it felt sturdy enough; however, since he didn’t get to wear it, I’m not sure how it would have held up. Some also mentioned the hat being very flimsy – I didn’t notice. I took it out of the bag and put it on the dresser and it seemed to hold shape. If not, think a little home-made cardboard insert would remedy that. I returned it very easily. Had a refund in no time. Very smooth transaction.

This costume is made very nice. We got so many compliments on our couples costume! It is a little pricey but it is made very well. However I do agree that the hat is totally worthless and you will need to get a better one like we did. Also keep in mind that most costumes do run small and this one is no exception, so if your not sure I would recommend to go a size up.
