I just got my costume in the mail today and it is extremely cute. This is my first review of a costume, but I’m going to try to include all the information I wish I’d had when I was shopping for this one, and will upload a picture, so hopefully this will help future costume buyers.First of all you’ll want to purchase at least two 13″ to 15″ double petticoats to get the effect in the picture, as the dress itself is just the dress. It doesn’t have any “poof” to it at all. I say 13 inch to 15 inch double petticoats for two reasons, A) I tried a single petticoat and it just doesn’t do anything. In the picture I’ve uploaded I’m wearing a single double petticoat 15 inches in length that I purchased after the initial single petticoat diabolical. Even the single double petticoat didn’t have nearly the poof of the picture, so I ordered an additional double petticoat, but it hasn’t arrived yet so the pic I’m uploading is with only one 15 inch double petticoat. The 2nd reason I say 13″ to 15″ double petticoat is it’s entirely up to you how much of your rear you’re comfortable displaying to the general public… because if you go with the 13″ as I did initially, your bottom WILL be hanging out, as this dress is SHORT.So if you’re on the tall side like I am (over 5’8″) you’re going to want to keep your petticoat length in mind, because the petticoat is basically the only thing that will be covering your rump. The dress may cover more if you’re on the shorter side, but I’m not short and it doesn’t cover my butt. Simple as that.As far as the construction and the material of the costume, it’s made fairly well for a costume. If you order the correct size you shouldn’t have an issue with the seams popping, and what have you. The stitching and construction is stronger than most costumes I’ve worn, so no complaints there.However the stock picture made me think that it was made of a cotton, or maybe linen, a sturdier fabric of that sort. That could just be me though, because I suppose there was no actual reason for me to come to that conclusion about the material… Anyway a sturdier type fabric is what I was expecting, and in reality it’s made of a thin spandex. It feels much like a bathing suit made of very thin spandex with a zipper in the back, so you may want to keep that in mind.If you’ve got a little extra jiggle the material definitely would not be flattering if you wore it tight as it will show every single roll and dimple you’ve got. You’ll definitely to want to either buy a slightly larger costume size, or purchase a sturdy boned corset if you want a tight, fitted look. The material of the costume is forgiving when it comes to fit, but I think it would absolutely NOT forgiving when it comes to hiding any flaws in your figure. So keep that in mind when picking your size.I’m between 5’8″ and 5’9″, weigh 160lbs, and wear a size 9/10. The sizing chart said I should order the medium/large, so that’s what I ordered. It fit me perfectly, but I’d say that if you wear a 12 or a 14 you’ll want to go with the next size up, or purchase a corset as I think it would be too tight for comfort and the thin, form fitting, stretchy material. The chart suggests that the medium/large would also fit sizes 12 and 14, but I wouldn’t recommend it without the purchase of a corset, I’d just go for the next size up. Now according to the sizing chart my size 9/10 body should have been in the middle or even on the smaller end of the size range for this particular costume, but it fit exactly perfect. So it would likely be a little big for someone wearing a 7/8, tight for an 11/12, and way too small for a 13/14.As far as the bosom of the dress it does have a very nice halter feature that gives you a bit of lift, but even so I was slightly uncomfortable not wearing a bra. I went with a convertible push up bra, and used a clear strap as a halter. Worked great, gave the girls the lift I wanted, and didn’t have any tacky bra strap showing issues. Obviously if you go with a boned corset under the dress you wouldn’t have to worry about a bra.I decided against the thigh highs in the picture as I’ve just never been comfortable wearing thigh highs, and instead went with vertical black and white striped tights. I also bought a mini top hat on Amazon that had matching vertical black/white stripes with a red hat band that perfectly matched the red on the dress. But those were personal preferences and I’ve no doubt that the accessories shown in the stock photo would be adorable.Ok I think that’s everything I wished I had known about the costume before I had purchased it. All in all I’m very happy with this costume, it’s extremely cute, and I’m sure I’ll have a lot of fun wearing it this Halloween. Hope this review helps some of you to make a decision about this costume.

I’m 5’6″ and 120 and the small/medium fit perfectly. Costume is impressive! Superb quality for a costume and for the price! I am so impressed, best deal ever. Sidenote: very short!

Material is stretchy and forgiving. I normally wear a US size 16-18, so I was nervous when the largest size available was XL and I was even more nervous when I first took the costume out of the package and saw how small it looked. However, when I tried it on it fit great. The bodice is stretchy enough that it gives you the extra room if you need it while still remaining snug if you’re thinner. My only complaint was that it had some loose strings hanging down off the seam, but that was easily fixed.

Mine didn’t come with the collar. Does any costume from Amazon come with all the pieces?!? I think the costume fits well. I wear a small and ordered a small. I like that I could wear a bra with this. But, I think it’s too expensive for not coming with all the pieces. Without the collar, it’s just the dress. Then, I have to buy a hat, petticoats, stockings, etc.

This is well made and for the price, a nice value. I’m 5’9” and 155 lbs. The M/L fits perfectly. There are two things that I would change, if I could. Rather than having the ties tie around the neck, I would have preferred that the straps were shorter and connected to the dress in back. I’m going to take a better look at it and see if I can make that type of change. My second thing is that the neck piece is super wrinkled and doesn’t look as full as the picture. I’m trying wrinkle releaser and hanging it until Halloween. Hopefully, it will straighten up and fluff up more. In spite of the two things, I’m satisfied and am giving it 5 stars.

I’m extremely curvy so I was so happy this fit perfectly. It’s stretchy and comfortable. I didn’t realize it didn’t come with the hat because I didn’t read that part, so I bought a headband crown instead, which I thought looked better.

Ill do cons first …. When I took the costume out of the bag it came it came in the first thing I noticed was the top 2 loops that hold the ribbon on the front that makes it look like a corset were torn. The ribbon was hanging down & had to be re-thread & the top loops cut off, which does effect how the costume fits & looks! The collar, as stated by other customers, is useless! There’s just no fixing it … Thrown away!! The fabric at the waist is white & pretty see-through, so wearing tights or fishnets or any sort of hosiery, besides thigh highs, REALLY shows through very vividly! I concealed the waistband of the tights somewhat with a nude colored spanx body suit pulled on after the pantyhose! The Spanx helped a lot, but the unattractive band on the hose was still pretty prominent!PROS … I love that the costume has a zipper! Many costumes do not & no zipper makes it difficult to put something on, but this costume has a long & sturdy zipper! I like that the gold trim on the costume is ribbon & it’s sewn on, its not glitter & that’s a real plus! The fabric is stretchy & this helps for the big chested gal, like myself! I’m 5’3″, 5’4″, approximately 160 – 165 lbs, 36 -38DD, with a curvy figure, meaning “bubble” butt, small waist, large chest & I ordered the XL. The fit was okay, but I think I could’ve ordered the L & the fit would’ve been better! I do not like tight fitting clothes at all, so if I would order a L that’s a nice indication that the XL was pretty loose! Fortunately I ordered a very nice petticoat/crinoline, because the bottom of the costume is very “limp”! A high-end petticoat was exactly what this cotume needed & it made the costume take on the fullness of the picture! The high-end petticoats cost more, but it’s TOTALLY worth it!! Also a nice petticoat is needed because the costume is VERY short! I’m not a tall person, so anyone over 5’4″ will FOR SURE need a petticoat, probably a little longer petticoat, so your booty won’t be showing! Unless you wanna show your booty & I say GO FOR IT, if thats what you wanna do! 😀 I say, to each his or HER own, I just wanted to tell the shortness of the costume for those who are concerned with that! :-)All in all, this costume was okay. I would probably recommend this costume, but not without telling someone everything that I could about it! Just have fun with it, get some great accessories & go HAVE FUN as a pretty playing card … Or queen of hearts!!! 🙂

I found it to run small – I am 5’6″ 36DD and I ordered an XL. It fit fine without being too tight.It doesn’t come with any petticoat like the photo shows which I only knew since I had read other’s reviews.I got two shortish black ones to layer under it to get the skirt to go out like the picture.The only accessory it came with was the neck piece which was tight and stiff – I have a small neck but just trying it on made a red mark so I skipped it and the costume was cute without it.I wore it with black opaque tights since it was so short plus it was cold out. To sex it up I got a pair of Q of Hearts stockings to wear over the black tights and wore my black patent Mary Jane heels.I also bought a crown/want combo that worked out great and a stuffed rabbit purse which was silly but really helped make the costume. The rabbit should have had less stuffing so there was more room for stuff but I managed to wedge my cell phone, camera & lip gloss in there. Very cute to go with my husband, the Mad Hatter!
